BIOGRAPHY

Michelle Knox is originally a New Jersey native who has lived across the country, following her passion for art and design for more than 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from The California College of the Arts in the Bay Area, and was awarded a Master of Fine Arts from Tulane University in New Orleans on a full scholarship. In 2021, she completed a Non-Profit Leadership Training Certification from The County College of Morris in New Jersey and is currently the Director of Programs at GlassRoots, Newark’s Glass Art Center.

 

When not focused on her own work, Michelle promotes community engagement in the arts by designing community events, creating public art and volunteering. Michelle resides in Keyport, New Jersey and is the current President of the Arts Society of Keyport, A Board of Director member at Monmouth Arts, part of the leadership council at Arts Ed Newark, an Elected Monmouth County Democratic Committee Member and in recent years formally The Creative Team Leader for the Keyport Green Team, and Stakeholder in the NJ Department of Cultural Affairs; Neighborhood Preservation Program.
